COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS DISCLAIMER
Inmate email, SMS messaging, picture mail, video visiting, and calling is a privilege and not a right. Any individual who abuses the privilege of being able to communicate with family members or loved ones through the TurnKey Corrections (TKC) System may immediately lose privileges to video visit, message, or call through the TKC system.

Such abuse can be defined as, but is not limited to, nudity or inappropriate clothing, illegal activity, improper or malicious use of equipment, and/or excessive profanity. The display of narcotics or weapons of any variety will not be tolerated and may result in criminal charges against the user(s). Three way communication is strictly prohibited. Specifically, as to the use of video visitation, the use of cellphones and other electronic devices not part of the video visitation session, is prohibited.

UNLESS SUBJECT TO THE ATTORNEY-CLIENT PRIVILEGE, AS SET OUT BELOW, ALL COMMUNICATIONS ARE MONITORED BY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY STAFF AND TKC, AND ARE SUBJECT TO PUBLIC DISCLOSURE. All email content, audio and video can be used against you in a court of law.

Communications between users and inmates may be terminated and/or blocked at any time if the system is abused. Accounts may be frozen and amounts contained therein may be confiscated as a means toward remedying any wrongdoing. If your account has been blacklisted for any reason, no refunds will be issued during that time frame. The account holder is fully responsible for any funds deposited which are derived from fraudulent activity. Any inmate who benefits from the deposit and use of fraudulently obtained funds shall be unable to use any service offered by TKC at any correctional facility using TKC services until such time as TKC and the correctional facility are fully reimbursed.

The account owner is responsible for ensuring the security of account log in and password information, as it contains private identity and financial information. TKC and the participating correctional facility are not liable for the theft of personal information caused by user negligence.

If a user has identified him- or herself to the correctional facility as a private attorney or public defender, the attorney-client privilege will apply. In such instances, the TKC system is designed to not record or monitor such communications. If the private attorney does NOT properly register with the correctional facility, TKC and/or the correctional facility will be able to review communications between all parties.

If you use the TKC system, you agree that TKC reserves the right to use all communications across its systems for marketing, advertising and product development purposes, at its sole discretion.

Please make sure to test your equipment before video visiting online; TKC is not responsible for user equipment failures. This includes but is not limited to your wifi connection, router, wireless antenna(s), connectivity issues, etc. Accounts that have been active or inactive for more than one month will be subject to a $1.00 charge, whether or not any messages or visits have occurred. You must proactively contact TKC in order to close your account.
